Experience: Swim, Cliff Views

Home to the most dramatic winter sunsets on the island, this hike takes us to some of the highest, wildest, most remote and protected points of Ibiza. Rising to 300m above the sea level, this vertiginous trail from forest to coast is impressively beautiful.

Meditation With A View

With views reminiscent of fjords, looking back across the water to the distant cliffs, you’ll discover some of the most incredible vistas in the Balearics. We’ll make our way to a series of six wild and hidden caves, where we’ll meditate in silence above the crashing Mediterranean far below.

This hike is not permitted during March, April and May as it is a protected area for the falcon breeding season.

What to Bring

To enjoy your hike comfortably, please bring:

  • At least 1.5L of water per person

  • A hat and sunscreen

  • Swimwear (for coastal hikes)

  • A small towel (if needed)

  • Any personal medication you may require during the hike (including inhalers)

  • Optional snacks (fruit, energy bars, etc.)

Many of our hikes include the opportunity for a swim. For added comfort when entering the water, we recommend bringing water shoes or swim shoes (optional). These are easy to find in most sports shops.

Please note that there are no shops or facilities along the trails.

What to Wear

For safety and comfort on the trail, please wear:

  • Trail running shoes or hiking shoes with good grip (required)

  • Socks (always required)

  • Comfortable sportswear, ideally quick-drying

  • A jacket or hoodie for sunset hikes, windy days, or cooler weather

For safety reasons, guests wearing flip-flops, sandals, open shoes, or other unsuitable footwear will not be able to join the hike. Regular sports shoes are not sufficient unless they are trail running shoes. Socks are mandatory.

Levels of Difficluty

Ibiza Hikes for Beginners (Icon)

Beginner

May include some short sections which are steep or uneven. These more gentle trails are suitable for beginners or those looking for a relaxed outdoor experience. They usually follow well-marked countryside caminos or coastal paths with minimal elevation gain. These hikes can be tailored to suit families, children and those with varying levels of fitness.
Ibiza Hikes for Intermediates (Icon)

Intermediate

No technical skill is required but these hikes may include sharp ascents and descents and cover rough terrain that offers more of a challenge. These hikes are suitable for hikers with a medium level of cardiovascular fitness and good sense of agility and balance. There may be avoidable areas of exposed heights unsuitable for those with vertigo.
Ibiza Hikes - "Difficult" Level (Bronze)

Advanced

These difficult trails will cover all types of terrain including loose shale underfoot and sections of coast which are particularly steep, rocky and slippery. There may be sections which are largely exposed, involve steep steps or ropes and have significant elevation gain. These hikes require a higher-than-average level of fitness and endurance and a resilient, positive mindset.
