The Hike Station was founded in 2020 by the Swiss Manuel Ehrensperger, following a period of radical transformation

Following the ancient paths of farmers and fishermen, we offer a new way to explore the island, blending adventure, well-being, and personal connection.

THE FOUNDER

Manuel Ehrensperger

Ibiza itself was never part of the plan – after walking away from a 25-year corporate career when it got too comfortable, Manuel found himself on the island as part of a short-lived love story.

It would be a fortuitous twist of fate after he retreated to the heart of nature of the island to found the network of long-forgotten farmer’s and fisherman’s trails and himself.

OUR CONCEPT

Holistic Hike Experiences

We offer transformative hiking experiences in the heart of nature. Our holistic hikes are curated to support the wellbeing of mind, heart and body.

Average 3 hours

Our hikes use ancient farmer’s and fisherman’s trails to access the wildest and most remote corners of Ibiza averagin 3 hours in length. We walk mindfully in nature, absorbing the island’s most magnificent scenery while honing our powers of agility, balance and observation.

7 minutes in silence

Our holistic approach always includes a seven- minute silence at one of the island’s most iconic and awe-inspiring locations. 

We move, we breathe, we swim and we meditate. Finding clarity and connection amid the silence and wonder.

We integrate 7 minutes of guided silence in every hike, and at times we walk in silence. This is where the mind settles, ideas become clear, and nature elevates your state naturally.

Ascents and descents train cardiovascular health, while conscious breathing helps calm the nervous system, regulate emotions, and reduce stress.

BODY

Hike to get fit

Hiking strengthens the legs and stabilizing muscles, while natural terrain improves balance, agility, and flexibility, supporting long term strength and longevity.

We hike to allow individuals to unplug from stress, pressure and external distractions and immerse in the raw authenticity of the natural world.

OUR HISTORY

The most dangerous place on earth is your comfort zone.

As hiking became a form of daily therapy, Manuel began to share images of the places he discovered. The reaction from friends was always the same – ‘Where is this? This can’t be Ibiza! Will you show me?’ Quickly realising that even many locals were unaware of the treasures on their doorstep, Manuel began to take friends with him.
